Hen & Moon FAQs
Each session integrates holistic medicine and intuitive practices, helping you address the physical, emotional, and spiritual roots of imbalance.
Absolutely. Research shows certain compounds can influence heart rate, breath, and vagal tone- supporting regulation and relaxation. Certain smells can also evoke changes in emotional and physical sensation, supporting the healing process.
Our apothecary blends are intentionally crafted—infused with prayer, presence, and evidence-based knowledge for deeper energetic impact.
Safety is always prioritized. We’ll discuss contraindications, dilution, and individual sensitivities - especially for children, pregnancy, and those with medical conditions.
You don’t have to know in advance - that’s part of the beauty of this work! During your consultation, we explore your body’s signals, emotional patterns, and energetic needs.
Together, we intuitively and clinically identify oils that support regulation, clarity, and balance in this season of your life.
Not at all. Whether you’re brand new or already familiar with aromatherapy, each session meets you where you are.
I’ll guide you step-by-step through the science, energetics, and safe use of each oil so you feel confident and connected to the process.
Yes. All oils are sourced from reputable, ethically aligned suppliers and selected for purity, safety, and clinical efficacy.
You can easily reorder through the apothecary through your link provided after your consultation.
We keep detailed records of your blends and preferred oils, so when you’re ready for a refill (or a new season calls for a different formula) we can recreate or adapt your blend with care and precision.
Our in-service trainings weave short, experiential moments of scent, breath, and nervous system awareness into the learning process.
Trainings are designed to help participants engage directly with oil in a both educational and embodied way, helping learners feel grounded through the process.
While essential oils can offer meaningful benefits, it is important to understand that diffused oils release aromatic compounds into the air that may be inhaled by pets or settle on their fur, where they can be ingested during grooming.
Certain animals (particularly cats and birds) are more sensitive to these exposures due to differences in metabolism and respiratory systems.
At the low dilution levels used in our formulations, the overall risk is generally considered minimal in well-ventilated environments.
However, out of an abundance of caution and our commitment to safe, responsible use, we recommend the following:
Ensure pets are not in the immediate area during active diffusion
Use diffusers in well-ventilated spaces
Allow pets the ability to leave the area freely
Avoid prolonged or continuous diffusion in enclosed spaces
Monitor pets for any signs of sensitivity (e.g., lethargy, coughing, drooling, or behavioral changes)
These precautions are especially important for households with cats, birds, or pets with respiratory conditions.
Our intention is not to discourage use, but to promote informed, mindful application of essential oils in shared human–animal environments. When used appropriately and with awareness, essential oils can remain a supportive part of holistic care.
If there are any concerns regarding specific pets or environments, we encourage consultation with a licensed veterinarian.
